This  ocean-found sea glass & sea pottery necklace is the exact necklace you will receive. The beach treasures used to make this piece of jewelry were found on the unspoiled coastline of a Western Puerto Rico beach.

We do not alter, cut or condition the sea glass in any way. Each piece looks exactly as it was found, its shape and surface created solely by the powerful force of the sea.

Turquoise Sea Glass ~
Turquoise glass was used for decorative glass vases and seltzer dispensers. Most Turquoise items were produced between 1880 and 1930. Manufacturers achieved this special shade by adding trace amounts of copper to their regular blue glass blends. Found mainly in the UK & Caribbean, Turquoise sea glass is one of the rarest of the seaglass colors.

Sea Pottery ~
Jadeite is a color of sea glass pottery made of vintage semi-opaque glass. Also called “Milk Glass,” it first became popular during Victorian times. Originally created in white, it had a revival during World War II when glass manufacturers discovered they could affordably add color by incorporating green glass scrap into their white “Milk Glass” formula. Thick and sturdy, Jadeite  was used in everyday dish-ware as well as being commercially produced for diners and cafeterias. It remained in popular use through the 1960’s.

With an emphasis on meticulous craftsmanship and timeless design, each one of our pieces is carefully handmade with sea glass imbued with the spirit of the ocean.
