Provenance of Sea Glass Marbles ~
Sea glass marbles started simply as marbles, the children's game played world-wide. The first US mass-produced toy marbles were made in Akron, Ohio during the 1890s. Marbles as a pastime continued to rise in popularity through the 1960s. Discarded as trash, the marbles washed into the ocean, evolving over time into sea glass, with the distinctive frosting & pitting of true ocean-found seaglass. Since marbles start in a round state, they tend to remain fairly curved, though sometimes split into halves or thirds from tumbling against rocks from the force of ocean waves. Sea glass marbles can be both opaque and transparent, as well as solid in color or pattered in design. They are considered a very special & rare type of sea glass.

With an emphasis on meticulous craftsmanship and timeless design, each piece is carefully handmade with sea glass imbued with the spirit of the ocean.
